What Do I See? - Poem By: Adamo Mariani
I see Nature being oppressed by the development of humans,
I see boats polluting what once was a clean ocean,
I see houses in areas once populated by trees,
and I see the building I am standing on,
contributing to all of this, being built on what once was the animal's territory.
I see civilization pointing a gun towards Nature,
and pressing the trigger, with the invention of cars,
polluting what once was fresh air,
and turning it into non-filtered, dirty fog.
And sadly, I realized, that I am one of the people holding the gun.
