The Fool - A Poem By Adamo
I woke up in an unknown place,
I thought I was miles away,
from the Earth, the nearest place.
This sunny day has beckoned me
and fearless I begin,
tied by the wind
against my side,
Slowed by the rain,
in my eyes.
Hope,
is what leads me forth.
Suddenly the wind stops,
the sky comes clear
I just realized,
my end is near.
The sun comes up
and evaporates my tears.
The music changes,
it's not more wind,
it's just fear.
I see the floor I am standing on
changing suddenly this dawn.
It went from cold wet blue
to hot dry red,
it's a desert and I've no water left!
I miss my home my house and bed
as here I am, in this deserted land.
I then open my eyes,
stand up, go pee
and forget everything about that weird dream

1. Objective When Writing The Poem?
2. Why Have I Written The Poem The Way That I Have?
My objective, or the message I am trying to convey to the reader with this poem is comparing the poem to any problem in life, where at first the problem has a vary bad impact on you (like in the second stanza were he encountered the "problem" and was very hard to go through with). Then, the problem might cause even other problems, or it simply modifies and you might think that you will never go through this problem (like in my third stanza). Like in my fourth and last stanza, any problem has this last part, where you will eventually go over the problem and sometimes even forget it (like I said in the poem 'and forget everything about that weird dream', where the dream is the problem). And this is also why I wrote this poem this way, because I structured it like a problem in real life. Also, I made it rhyme so that it was very easy to follow and read. I used imagery a lot as well to convey feelings which can't be conveyed in any other way
