Discuss the main conflicts that drive your novel | HomeWork - 15/08/16
The main conflicts that drive the novel are what keeps the reader focused on the story, and I thought that all the conflicts were cleverly made to successfully create an atmosphere within the book. Man vs. Society is the main conflict driving the book, and it made the protagonist, David Storm, get persecuted and threatened, making him have to run away to the Fringes and forsake members of his family. Because of this huge conflict, the protagonist himself changed, because he now sees the world differently, and he stopped believing to everything that was being said to him. In my opinion, the main theme that emerged from this book is that one's beliefs are not to be taken as 100% true. I personally agree with this idea, as I find it hard to change my mind and I usually get stuck with my ideas.
