How is the protagonist brought to life in your imagination?
The author of "The Chrysalids", John Wyndham, successfully made the reader listen, view and overhear the protagonists thoughts and actions. What I found interesting in this book, is that due to the plot of this story in particular, we are able to listen to the thoughts of mostly every main character in the book, giving us the opportunity to know every characters' thoughts and feelings. The fact that we know what the characters in the story think, is something which is unusual in a book, making it a unique "beauty".
