Character Sketch - Inspector Goole - Adamo Mariani
The inspector is an interesting character which is seen throughout all the book. The character is a calm character and very secure of himself and sure that what he is saying is right. He talks in a mysterious way which annoys the other characters in the play. This means that when talking he does not go straight to the point but takes the long way around. Even when "cutting in" someone else's line, he does it calmly. Being calm, the inspector speaks with a slow pace and soft voice. The character can be quite irritating at times towards the other characters because he already knows what happened and what is going to happen and yet does not say it, instead, he makes the other characters say it by asking a "ton" of questions. The character does not have a very strong British accent and is not posh, meaning that he may use rough language in the play towards the other characters.
